Windrose is growing! Thanks to an amazing team of young leaders, Chicago is home to the first Windrose chapter outside of Texas.

On Sunday, July 16th, Windrose leaders hosted a successful launch to our new Chicago chapter! More than 300 teens and young adults joined us for an introduction to Windrose and the principles of freedom that our country is founded on. We were so encouraged to see the large response, and to feel the energy in the room from young people who see the need to grow as leaders and influencers in our communities. Going forward, we will host monthly educational seminars and service projects around Chicagoland, so stay involved! Join this nation-wide movement of young Americans committed to developing themselves as leaders and defenders of our liberty, and become a member of the Windrose family!

The Windrose Project is a national Leadership Development Community dedicated to the principles of liberty and equality. We provide young Americans (ages 13 to 25) with educational enrichment, worldview training, and philanthropic opportunities. Leaders are first and foremost servants and learners, and becoming a leader requires personal growth in body, mind, and spirit.  We want every young American to better understand themselves and America’s rich history, so that they may better embrace the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, and be empowered to pursue their purpose in life. Above all else, Windrose leaders live out the creed that “all men are Created equal,” by treating those around them with love and respect, and honoring the intrinsic value of life.

Chicago is desperately in need of new, active leadership in its communities, and Windrose aims to provide exactly that! Our nation’s 3rd largest city is home to staggering murder rates, high taxes, excessive regulations, and severe restrictions of Second Amendment rights. The people of the Windy City need to hear the empowering message of freedom, and re-examine the proposition that ‘all men are created equal.’ In short, Chicago needs Windrose! Will you be a part of the solution?

We cannot thank our dedicated team of Windrose leaders enough. Eutimio Garcia and Francisco Sanchez, leaders from our Dallas Chapter, drove more than 1,000 miles to encourage and partner with the new Chicago team! Together, they exhibited the heart of Windrose: loving, serving, and sacrificing for our neighbors, because all life has value, and we are all Created equal. This is the foundation of American freedom, and the very core of the American founding. The Chicago officers and leadership council worked very hard to promote the event all across the city, and their hard work truly paid off. Some attendees travelled over two hours to join us from as far as Madison, WI (Shout out to Oscar!). Kenneth Mejia, the Windrose Chicago President, and his team have set the bar high, and they are committed to building a healthy chapter over the coming year. We have every confidence in them and could not be more proud.

For all of our new friends in Chicago, please save the date for our next Windrose Seminar on August 27th. Registration opens August 5th. We will learn of the tragic reality of modern-day slavery, and watch a fascinating film to shed more light on this topic.

No matter where you are, thank you for sharing in our exciting news, as we lay the groundwork to build Windrose chapters in every state across this great nation. Stay tuned!
